Delta Air Lines announced a new nonstop route from Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to Cape Town International Airport, with service beginning October 26, 2026, operating three times weekly on Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
The 16-hour flight fills a significant gap in the US-South Africa market, where travelers previously had to connect through European or Middle Eastern hubs. Delta One suites will be available on the route with lie-flat seats and direct aisle access.
Introductory round-trip fares start at $899 in main cabin and $3,200 in Delta One, with SkyMiles redemption available from 85,000 miles round trip. Bookings open May 1 on delta.com.
