Royal Caribbean International revealed plans today for Icon of the Seas II, a sister ship to the current world's largest cruise vessel, with delivery scheduled for spring 2028 from the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland.

The 250,800 gross ton vessel will carry 7,600 guests and feature an expanded waterpark with eight pools and six water slides, a surf simulator, an ice skating rink, and a 1,400-seat theater. New additions include a retractable glass roof over the pool deck for all-weather sailing.

Icon of the Seas II will be homeported in Fort Lauderdale and offer seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. Early booking opens September 1, 2026, with introductory rates starting at $1,100 per person for interior cabins.
